Besides of putting up a Fantasy Girl of the Week segment, a solely dedicated post for cosplayers of Final Fantasy girls, I’ve also decided to create an Item of the Week that is related to all Final Fantasy merchandise. So, if you’re here to shop for Phoenix feathers, please discontinue reading :) C’mon, that was a joke.

Anyhow, I’ve stumbled upon a rather interesting subject, which for many of us is considered to be one of the game’s most dangerous and lethal enemies – Tonberry. I really had a difficult time with these hooded fiends with their sharp knives and lanterns in Final Fantasy IX and X – the Tonberries at Ipsen’s Castle were brutal and Tonberries at the Sunken Cave were even much harder.

Despite their innocent, turtle-like appearance, these green dudes are slow and would take at least four turns before they reach one member of the party for that kitchen knife killing blow. If players think they can handles these cute abominations then, prepare for Karma.

Now, more about these Tonberries, I found an adorable revision of these feared Final Fantasy creatures and, let me start this Item of the Week by introducing to you, Granny Tonberry.

Sure, she’s not as hot like those annoying blue-colored Nymphs in Final Fantasy IX or as seductive like Cloud of Darkness with her half-naked I-really-don’t-know-what-she-is-wearing thing but nonetheless, this embroidered work of art clearly represents how people are serious with FF.

Created by a Wickedorin (check out his/her Etsy cart, you’ll see a myriad of cool hand-crafted trinkets), Granny Tonberry has the following descriptions:

* Sits at 7 inches in height

* Whole body is crocheted and embroidered, her main accessory, which is an apron, is fully-embroidered with the utmost care

* Fabric paint were used for the boysenberry pie and other conspicuous accessories, and finally;

* Needle felting for the hair (See image above)
