— Final Fantasy Girls

In the world of Final Fantasy, random encounters grant players that much-needed experience points necessary to beat both story and optional bosses. All right, you have defeated Kuja or Emperor Vayne during your first try – I know you’ve been humiliated (if not, I’m going to become the laughing stock of the whole Final Fantasy blogosphere) by these beasts boasting impeccable penchant to dispatch you with a single move.

Push (or poke it with a  sharp object) that restart button because you’re going to die eventually – this list contains some of the most overlooked opponents that will make you look silly during your first encounter with them. No Phoenix Pinions to save you on this one!

I had to rest writing about Final Fantasy for three straight days – I’m back, more restless than ever because of this hilarious fan fiction/ parody of a Final Fantasy VII battle sequence. A random encounter with three human (?) warriors imbued superficial abilities. Just watching that guy at the left side of the pudgy with the mini-tomahawk axe spin in confusion just cracks me up.

The summon scene looks exactly familiar with VII’s but, putting Cell as the eidolon is 100% epic failure. Can’t come up with Ifrit or Shiva eh? Anyway, enjoy this video and I’ll be back with more updates (Final Fantasy XIII is fast approaching), exquisite content on all our favorite Final Fantasy hotties plus, a future interview with a local Pinay Final Fantasy cosplayer. Hopefully, Carmina Topacio will suit up in a Rinoa costume this summer vacation – the best time of the year to loosen up on school girl uniforms.

As rare as it is, we were never treated with a sequel for a Final Fantasy game until the release of X-2. The story starts right off the bat, Yuna, now a member of a Sphere Hunter group called as the Gullwings, joins Rikku and Paine in search for spheres which might give clues to the origins of Spira. That’s where the fun started to fade – again you control an airship that has a determined course and Brother is with you, such an annoying, squirmy Al-Bhed!

What was the main reason Enix released X-2? Tidus disappeared and his very existence was a fading dream created by ancient Zanarkand summoners and, X-2 was given birth in order to answer the blitzball ace’s mystery-shrouded life. Wrong. Final Fantasy X-2 took a wrong turn and failed miserably to deliver a classic Final Fantasy game brimming with heart-pounding action. Turn-based combat for a sequel? This was available for the PS2 and, the developers should have revamped the gameplay mechanics – they sure did with another laughable twist.
