Final Fantasy XIV For The PS3 Is Having Major Problems

We all know the problems that the developers have with Final Fantasy XIV and, with all the setbacks the game is showing for the PS3 version, it looks like that the upcoming MMO for the PC which, is scheduled to be released on September, will have to undergo major fixings if Square Enix wants the PS3 release to be within the spectrum of March.

The game has been dotted for a March 30 release for the PS3.

According to Hiromichi Tanaka, Final Fantasy XIV for the PS3 is undergoing slow development tests in order to ensure PS3 users that the game will have the same smooth and lag-free experience that the PC version has exhibited during E3.

“The PlayStation 3 has a limited amount of memory compared to the PCs we’re aiming at.” “We have to optimise the data so that it will fit on the console and that’s taking a lot longer than we first thought…”

On a positive note, the delays and all the bad news related to Final Fantasy XIV for the PS3 are all going to fade once the game proves to be better than its PC brethren.

Hopefully…

Major Problems? This is just a time estimation issue on the development side. Why would you report your title of the article to sound way worse than anything Tanaka said!

This is just something to be expected in a game that is made to look good on the PC, but also needs to run on a console. I am so glad it’s not the other way around! Where they dumbed down the graphics on the PC because the console don’t have the memory capacity to handle it.

This news means each system will have graphics that are best designed for each system. This is good news to me. The only bad news is that the PS3 is coming out later. To be honest. I was going to buy the PS3 version. But now I am buying the PS3 and will pick up the PS3 when it comes out later. That way I can play in my living room when my wife kicks me off of my only computer! LOL

I believe that the crew behind Final Fantasy XIV for the PS3 is pushing the release date far too late. Of course, Square Enix wants the MMO to be played as near perfect like its PC brethren which, is slated to be officially released this September.

I may have exaggerated when I said that Final Fantasy XIV is having major problems for the PS3; I’m not a game developer so, the process is curtailed to us gamers and my knowledge is somewhat is sheltered as far as FF XIV’s development is concerned. Nonetheless, Final Fantasy XIV for the PS3 have problems which needs to be addressed ASAP.

Square Enix is always out-doing themselves by providing FF fans with the best graphics and gameplay experience not found on other RPGs and, with another MMO coming, their development colony (this goes with FF XIV for the PS3) is busy burning the midnight oil in order to deliver us a riveting and extraordinary Final Fantasy for the ages.

    Cheers to you, Robert.
