Killing Blow: Final Fantasy Girls And Their Ultimate Weapons Part I

The Final Fantasy franchise is one of the longest running role-playing games not because the story is long or the dialogues can eat up a whole scenario with repetitive verbose exchange of unsymmetrical and disjointed ideas – it’s because of how patient we are of finding every character’s ultimate weapons. Believe me, each effort to find these relics of ancient power could totally destroy a mid-end storyline boss in minutes and, makes it easy for characters to kill optional bosses with high HP and ridiculous high damage input.

This post is dedicated to our favorite Final Fantasy Girls and their ultimate weapons. Sure, FF male characters like Cloud and Squall have carved a reputation of being almost unstoppable once they acquire their final equips. For some of our FF maidens, the Premium Heart or Final Fantasy XII’s Zodiac Spear make them inseparable from the battlefield plus, that fanfare pose makes them a lot cuter and deadlier.

Here are some of my favorites.

*Tiger Racket – Can be equipped by Princess Garnet and Madain Sari’s Eiko Carol, this unique Final Fantasy IX racket has an imbued Wind element attached to the its principle and, with sparse availability of Wind-based spells, this weapon penetrates enemies with weakness to the power of gust. Some of you like it for the design but, I think that this easily owned by a more cheap yet powerful version of the game’s purchasable rackets – the Magic Racket boosts Magic by two and amplifies H0ly-based damage. Tiger Racket also holds the game’s most useful White Magic spell, Dispel.

*Premium Heart – Tifa’s ultimate glove and the trickiest to be discovered. This knuckle increases Tifa’s damage whenever she misses a Limit Break slot and you would want to rely on physical attacks with her on the party. One of the weapon’s downfall is the zero Materia growth rate meaning, you must master each Materia before equipping this on her. Premium Heart has an attack rate of 99 and a hit rate of 112%.

*Conformer – Another Final Fantasy VII ultimate weapon and this time, our quirky Yuffie Kisaragi gets to hold one of the game’s technical weapons. Found inside the Sunken Gelnika, this huge shuriken, when coupled with the Morph Materia, deals normal damage to opponents thereby allowing easy kills from opponents which can be transformed into useful items.

*Nirvana – A crazy rod containing crazy powers. What’s crazier is that the difficulty of obtaining Yuna’s final weapon has been categorized as very, very easy. Nirvana grants Yuna more striking power when her MP is full and allows Valefor to exceed 9,999 damage. Forget about these two bonuses: the real fun lies on the weapon’s passive blessings such as One MP Cost, Triple Overdrive, Break Damage Limit and Double AP! What a pilgrimage!

*Shooting Star – Rinoa Heartlily’s final weapon. I think this one only relies on the weapon’s long-range power and nothing else. I doubt that some of you have found something useful out of Shooting Star nonetheless, it’s a very cool weapon which allows Rinoa to shoot out boomerang-like projectiles to a target.

This is a very in-depth list so, I will be coming back for Part II of this topic and hopefully by that time, I have already dug out some cool and non-pixelated ultimate weapons which were not mentioned in this list.
