Garnet is Not a Rinoa Rip-Off
Okay, let’s spice up this site by talking about Final Fantasy women. First of all, each of Final Fantasy leading lady is unique in character and their roles played a big part in the development of the never-ending quest. Right now, I just ate a packet of Dead Peppers and went berserk after finding out that some FF zombie-heads think that Princess Garnet til’ Alexandros is a CC of Rinoa. I just went into the same conversation with a friend and it kind of ticked me – pass me a remedy and maybe we can sort this little dispute over looks and height.
According to some Final Fantasy IX’s official Wikipedia page, the development of each character represent a comical look in which players can relate to. Those deformed and diminutive statures are very cute indeed. I cannot say for sure but, FF IX has a very special place in my heart and that’s why I’m going too negate all these accusations that FF IX had the worst character design among the ranks of Final Fantasy games, especially on Garnet.
Final Fantasy girls have their own distinct and memorable facade but, I’m not going to let this one pass. Anyone who condemns Garnet to the lowest among popularity and charisma is screwed over FF fanboyism.

i like rinoa so much..
I thought it was the player. hahahaha.
Rinoa and Garnet are nothing alike!! Ok they’re both beautiful brunettes with brown eyes, but that’s where the similarities stop. Looks wise, Garnet is has a softer build and seems younger than Rinoa with her baby-faced appearance (not a bad thing, don’t get me wrong). Rinoa looks older and more mature and has an almost mischievous look about her where Garnet seems more of the naive type. Then there are their personalities. Rinoa is a very individualistic character. She comes from the background of a great military leader and a famous singer, but she does exactly what she thinks is right no matter what her parents think or what the consequences will be. She is flirty and knows how to manipulate guys to get them to do what she wants, poor Squall never had a chance! Princess Garnet is just that, a princess. She grew up, to put it bluntly, a little spoiled. It wasn’t until she had gone into the world and met Zidane that she started to figure out what the world was really like. She took some time to gain her independence from others where Rinoa was that way from the get go. Both portray great leadership qualities and have the drive to reach their goals, but I for one think that anyone who believes Garnet to be a carbon copy of Rinoa needs to first have their eyes checked, and then they need to go back and play Final Fantasies 8 and 9 and see the real differences for themselves. Oh, and by the way, my top 3 female Final Fantasy characters are Aeris, Rinoa, and Princess Garnet. Hope this helps with the discussion.
